Days 25 & 26-Through Nevada-Arizona & Utah
Left Las Vegas and headed toward Colorado, with a couple of stops planned before I arrive at Kort and Amy’s on Friday. These first pictures are from the road through Nevada, Arizona, and Utah. My cousin Zana has always talked about a trip she took with Uncle John and Aunt Keet to Zion and Bryce Canyon, so I was excited to finally see these places for myself. I almost made it to Zion! I got as far as Kolob Canyons, where I found a road that would have taken me down into Zion. Unfortunately, the road had been washed out, so I couldn’t make it through. Instead, I decided to continue on to Bryce Canyon—and I’m so glad I did! What a beautiful area. The mountains and rock formations are incredible and almost seem to rise right up toward you. I’ve seen quite a few deer along the way, but so far, those are the only animals I’ve spotted. I ended up staying in Bryce Canyon City, which is a great little place to stay just before entering the canyon. Today, I spent time biking and walking the trails and taking in all the incredible scenery. It’s absolutely beautiful here, and waking up to 63-degree temperatures this morning was so refreshing! Tomorrow, I’m heading to another National Park farther north as I make my way toward Colorado. Looking forward to seeing what’s next! 🏔️🚴♂️📸
